Joshua Wang

Joshua Wang is a graduate from Solon High School in Solon, Ohio. He was the lead drummer for his school’s top jazz band and for his school’s show choir, “Music in Motion.” He was also the principal clarinetist for his school’s wind ensemble, and section leader of the alto saxophones in marching band. He was hand chosen to play in the pit of two of his school’s musicals, “Mamma Mia!” and “Freaky Friday.” He won his school’s Louis Armstrong Jazz Award, in recognition for his outstanding achievements in the field of jazz. Apart from school, Joshua is currently in four self-started bands, each incorporating various genres of music – from indie, to jazz, to metal. Joshua also has a classical background, learning classical piano from the age of seven. In the fall of 2021, Joshua will attend Case Western University, where he plans to minor in music and continue to grow as a musician.
