Jack Hrusch

I really wasn’t inspired by the blues (more by the Beatles), but I played all sorts of music, in many different styles. I’ve played somewhere around a total of 108 groups or more, playing the blues, jazz, Bach, rock, Bohemian, Bossa Novas, Brazilian, Calypsos, cha-chas, Christmas music, church music, classical, country, Croatian, disco, top-40 dance, Dixieland/Ragtime, Doo Wop Shows, Elvis’ Music, folk, funk, Greek, Irish, Israeli horas, Israeli disco, Italian, Latin, lounge music, Mambos, Merengues, Motown/Soul, movie themes, opera show music, German & Polish Polkas, Puerto Rican, radio/tv commercials, Reggae, rhythm & blues, Rumbas, Russian, Rusyn, Salsas, sambas, show tunes, Slovenian, swing/big band, Tangos, wedding music, and least but not last, Zydeco! Did I mention the Blues? Wow! My list shows that I’m probably the only bassist in Cleveland who has played the most styles of music! Ya think?!?

I’ve taught bass guitar, upright bass, guitar, violin, viola, cello and ukulele. I’ve taught at my home, with Bruno Bros. Music, The Cleveland Music School Settlement, Cleveland Music, Sam’s Music (Golf), Great Lakes School of Music and with Sam Ash Music. I’ve taught everything from the Foo Fighters to Beethoven!

List local and national artists you have played with either in a group, jam, personal sessions, teaching or lessons?
